Product Management
One fast loan company in Bulgaria had an obsolete application for credit consultants and hired us to create a new app for them. This product was the hardest I've been part of. It required a deep understanding of the domain. The research phase was 4 months long. In which I led weekly 1-hour Q&A sessions in order to understand every single detail of the loan processes. I documented everything and ended up creating a 40-page documentation.
Having prepared the documentation we started creating the software API requirements for the Loans Company IT department. With a couple of weekly meetings we finished the software API requirements for the Loan Company.
We were approaching a deadline and the Loan Company wanted a working application. The Loan Company IT department was nowhere near finishing the API we needed. This was a problem. So we decided to create mocks for every API call.
The development team consisted of:
Leading a team of 9 people, managing the backlog, leading scrum meetings and keeping contact with the client was a real challenge. I started working earlier and from 12 pm onwards, I was my team's support - giving them fast responses and guidance in order to keep our fast workflow.
Like the previous product we needed an admin panel. So I created the admin panel wireframes and we started working on them with the designer and frontend developer.
In 18 sprints we managed to deliver a working application although it was only with mocks.
